Insurance Alpha Manor Nursing Home participates with Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM), and Health Alliance Plan (HAP). We accept most other 3rd Party Insurance. Please call for coverage questions. Private Pay A monthly statement is mailed to the responsible party on or about the 25th of the month. Payment is due by the 5th of the following month. The current private pay rate is $158.00 per day. Alpha Manor bills for 30 days in advance. In the event of discharge, any unused dollars/days will be refunded. Medicare Medicare Part A helps cover medically necessary skilled nursing stays for up to 100 days after a three-day qualifying hospital stay. Medicare pays for the first 20 days (if criteria met) in full. Days 21-100 (if criteria met) have a co-insurance rate of $114.00 for 2005. Medicare covers only those stays that meet the skilled criteria set by Medicare. The co-insurance will be billed to your insurance, if applicable. If no insurance is available, you will be billed privately. Medicare Part B covers up to 80% of medically necessary services such as therapy, tube feeding supplies, physician visits, diagnostic tests, DME equipment. Medicaid Medicaid applications can be obtained at your local Family Independence Agency – Fort Wayne District located at 6534 West Jefferson, Detroit, MI 48209 or through the Business Office here at Alpha Manor Nursing Home, Monday thru Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm. |
